Joseph Pearce’s is a landmark in Edinburgh and it has been a bar for 110 years. We are happy to have the honour to run it.
Joseph Pearce’s has been hitlisted several years by The List: “JP’s has a warm and genuine welcome so it extends to a large diverse clientele. During the day a raised area to the back is a family-friendly haven, stocked with all the toys, highchairs and feeding paraphernalia that junior patrons and their beleaguered parents could require. From 5pm a more grown-up but equally laid-back atmosphere pervades, making Pearce's a favourite haunt of a cool crowd seeking simple relaxation or perhaps taking part in one of the regular jogging. Many will be there to enjoy the Scandinavian-tinged menu of gravadlax, pork meatballs with root vegetable mash in a plum sauce or smoked haddock with crisply roasted hasselback potatoes and poached egg, all washed down with a great draught and bottled drinks selection”

Food Lunch, Brunch, Dinner and Nibbles
Our philosophy about our food is that we want to do proper housefood, made from scratch on the premises and I would call it wholesome Swedish food which is always served with salad. The menu changes seasonally, but always include meatballs and pancakes! Brunch is served 11am-4pm and it is a must to try Half Full breakfast. Children's Corner
We have created a children corner in the back with wooden toys for the kids and microwave, bibs and colorful plates for the parents’ easiness. We allow children between 11am-5pm - after that it is time for them to go home and let the adults play on their own.
Jogging Club
Every Tuesday 7pm we jog from Joseph Pearce’s to Sofi’s via Water of Leith and in Sofi’s we get a glass of Lingonberry Cordial and then we jog back.

We have different exhibitions up hosted by Delicartessen.

Other Events
We also do events like Cinnamon Wednesdays, Sunday late afternoon DJs, Lucia singing, small markets and everything else that is not normal in a bar.
