Joseph Pearce’s is a landmark in Edinburgh which has been open since 1898. It has been a grocery, a wine merchant and now a bar.
Just a few minutes’ walk from Princes Street and the city centre, Joseph Pearce’s is the perfect place to stop for some drinks after a busy day at work or after shopping!
Our outside terrace is a bit of a sun-trap and benefits from sunshine well into the evening during the summer months. When it’s a little bit colder, head inside for a warm welcome from the JP’s team.
We’re a genuinely welcoming bar with a diverse clientele. During the day, the raised area at the back of Joseph Pearces’s is a family-friendly haven.

We hold lots of regular events at Joseph Pearce’s, including jogging club, traditional Swedish crayfish parties and Lucia celebrations.
